PREGNANCY CARE
Pregnancy and preparing for a baby can be an exciting time, but it can also bring physical and emotional changes. At Healthy Homeopathy, we take a personalised approach, considering your individual health, wellbeing and circumstances throughout your pregnancy journey.
Preparing for pregnancy can be a positive opportunity to focus on your health and wellbeing. Understanding your menstrual cycle, supporting healthy lifestyle habits and looking after your physical and emotional wellbeing can all form part of preparing for pregnancy.
Our approach looks at the bigger picture, taking time to understand your individual circumstances and the areas where you may benefit from additional support.
Every pregnancy journey is different. Whether you’re preparing to conceive, already pregnant or looking for emotional and wellbeing support, we take the time to understand what’s happening for you rather than focusing on one symptom in isolation.
Your health history, lifestyle, emotional wellbeing and individual circumstances can all form part of your consultation, helping us create a personalised approach that feels appropriate for you.
Your first appointment gives you the opportunity to talk openly about your health and what you’d like support with. We’ll discuss your current concerns, health history and lifestyle before creating a personalised approach around your individual needs.
The plan includes:
If you’re pregnant or preparing for pregnancy, it’s important that any complementary support forms part of a wider approach to your healthcare.
Homeopathy should not replace prescribed medication, antenatal care or advice from your doctor, midwife or other healthcare professional. If you’re taking medication or have an existing health condition, speak with your healthcare professional before making any changes to your treatment.
Our role is to provide personalised complementary support alongside appropriate medical care.
When should I start pregnancy care?
You can get in touch when you’re preparing for pregnancy or at any stage when you’re looking for additional complementary support. Your practitioner can discuss your individual circumstances and explain how the treatment plan works.
Can I have homeopathy while pregnant?
If you’re pregnant, it’s important to discuss any complementary treatment with your doctor, midwife or other appropriate healthcare professional. Your practitioner can talk through your circumstances and explain what support may be appropriate.
Can you support me before I become pregnant?
Yes. Pre-conception care can be an important part of preparing for pregnancy. Consultations can explore your health history, lifestyle, menstrual cycle, nutrition and emotional wellbeing to create a personalised approach.
What happens during a Pregnancy Care consultation?
You’ll have the opportunity to talk about your health, wellbeing and what you’d like support with. Your practitioner will discuss your health history and individual circumstances before explaining the options available to you.
How long will I need support for?
This varies from person to person. Treatment plans are generally 3–6 months, depending on your individual needs and the type of support you’re looking for.
Can Pregnancy Care replace my antenatal care?
No. Complementary support should not replace antenatal care, prescribed medication or advice from your doctor or midwife. Always continue with your recommended pregnancy care alongside any complementary approach.
